I hadn't seen the Time Machine book that appears at the end of the season also appear at the beginning at first...really makes it even more tragic to think that... ...Jimmy held on to that book arguably after Chuck's demise as another way to show in retrospective never really stopped thinking about what happened to him and what could it have been, even if it took forever for him to even say it and how the book only appears again at the end to answer that what he dodged twice before that. For the bus scene there is a couple of different interpretations, mine being that instead of Saul gaining a recognition for helping out "the little guy." Saul was one of the most wanted men in that region of america during BB, one of the biggest people in Walt empire and subsequently would have been known (whether during BB or after he fled.) as a very important part of it. Having somebody of that stature (still being a bad one tho) on your prison bus, would be a pretty cool experience for the people there.

The whole Gene timeline gives me classic fallout vibes (the use of Ink Spots certainly helps) and I just have an acquired taste for that part of the show that makes me want to see more character-driven noir-type shit like that in a dilapidated Eastern European or Midwestern setting.
